How to create a new user?

The instructions shown below only apply for domains that do not make use of auth0. If you’re not sure if your domain applies or not, please contact your Smartflow contactperson.

  1. Click on the gears icon on the top right corner and click on Users.

  2. Click on + New on the User navigation bar in the top right corner

  3. Select the required user group for the user in the User group field

    • Domain admin: Users that have access to all functionality in your domain, including the buier (able to make changes, add/delete users etc.)

    • Normal: For users that are involved in daily operations, for example supervisors, operators, inspectors.

  4. Add the new user’s email in the Email field.
    The Username field gets automatically filled on filling the Email field.

  5. Check the Active checkbox to make the user active or the user will be inactive and will not be able to login to the domain

  6. Create a password for the user, and repeat this in the second field.

  7. Add the user’s Lastname, Initials(if required), Middlename(if required) and Firstname in the respective fields.
    Displayname gets automatically filled when these fields are filled in

  8. The RefExternal field can be skipped. 

  9. If you want to force the user to create a new password, please check the checkbox Force password change.

  10. Click on Next present at the bottom right of the window.

  11. Check the option with your domain name, skip the option of ‘'Master’'

  12. Click on Next

  13. Check the required Roles for the user.

  14. Click on Next

  15. If required and applicable, fill in the additional information

  16. Click on Save present at the top right of the window

In order to correct the previous set values click on Back present at the bottom left of the window.

Please note that the user has to login once within three days after creation!
